1. Who we are

S V Enterprises is a repair, calibration and technical-service organisation based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Questions about this policy or personal information handled by us may be submitted through our Contact us page.

2. Information we collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:

• Name, company/dealer name, postal address, email address and telephone/mobile number.
• Instrument details such as job number, make, model, serial number, accessories, purchase invoice and warranty information.
• Problem descriptions, service instructions, estimates, approvals, payment references, correspondence and dispatch details.
• Information submitted through our contact form, email, telephone, WhatsApp or in person.
• Basic technical logs created by our web host, such as IP address, browser type, time and requested page, for security and reliable operation.

Please do not send payment-card details, account passwords or unrelated sensitive personal information through the contact form.

3. Why we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries; identify and receive equipment; verify warranty claims; prepare estimates; record approval and payment status; perform and document services; communicate job status; arrange collection or dispatch; maintain accounts and statutory records; prevent fraud or misuse; secure our systems; resolve complaints; and comply with legal obligations.

We limit use to legitimate service, contractual, consent-based or legally required purposes. We do not sell personal information.

4. When information may be shared

Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with the applicable manufacturer or authorised network for warranty/service verification; courier, logistics and payment providers; email, hosting, IT and communication providers; professional advisers; or government and legal authorities where required. Each recipient receives only the information relevant to its role.

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy practices. If a service provider processes information outside India, we will apply the requirements then applicable to that transfer.

5. Email, telephone and WhatsApp

We use the contact details supplied for transactional communication about current instruments and service requests. This can include receipt information, questions, warranty documents, estimates, reminders, approval/payment status, completion and dispatch details.

You may ask us to stop WhatsApp messages. We may still use email, telephone or another suitable method for essential job administration, legal notices or responses you request. Do not send confidential information over WhatsApp unless necessary for the service.

6. Cookies, human verification and advertising

This website does not use Google AdSense or other third-party advertising cookies. We do not currently use behavioural advertising or advertising profiles.

The contact form uses a short-lived, essential session cookie and Google reCAPTCHA to protect the form from spam and automated abuse. When reCAPTCHA loads or is used, Google may receive technical information such as the visitor’s IP address, browser information and interaction data, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its Privacy Policy and Terms. Our hosting provider may also retain standard server logs.

If analytics or another optional tracking technology is introduced later, this policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated before use.

7. Retention and security

We retain enquiry and service information only for as long as reasonably required for the stated purposes, warranty history, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and other legal or operational obligations. Different records may have different retention periods.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use appropriate care when sending information electronically.

8. Your choices and rights

You may contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, ask us to stop optional communication, or raise a grievance. Deletion requests will be considered subject to records we must retain for legal, accounting, warranty, security or dispute-related reasons.

We may ask for reasonable information to verify identity and authority before acting on a request. Applicable rights and procedures will be handled in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, its notified rules and their phased commencement, and other applicable Indian law.
